We also offer a residential educational enterprise program for those who the courts have referred for alternatives to incarceration. We have been blessed to have an experienced concessionaire decide to get out of the Carnival he was traveling with and start something new for himself. Hi. We are a small mom n pop workshop located in NE Mississippi. We do woodworking. We make anything from small to large, Intarsias, Scrollwork, some furniture, Yard ornaments, Custom signs, Almost anything wood. We love what we do. We've only been to a few shows last year and are looking forward to the ones this year. Always interested in doing more.

I am considering starting a funnel cake/waffle concession business. I have a question regarding fees charged by

the events. I understand there is a rental fee per square foot for your space, but now I am hearing that the fairs like

to use tickets for food purchases. It is my understanding that at the end of the night the fair administrators come around

and collect the tickets from you and also charge 25-30% on your sales too, the tickets verify how much money you have

I live around the Harrionsburg, Va area and I currently in the process of buying a concession trailer to go fairs, events, festivals, etc. selling "slurpees" and "dippin dots" ice cream, also will probably sell a 2 flavored cotton candy on a stick along with nachos and cheese, and whatever else I think would do well in this type of business. Just wanted to get input from others to see if this would be a visable idea.
